"Tomahawk" Comic Series...

Update(27/5/2013) : A new Indrajal blog - Comics ForEver - has been launched by an avid fan of Bengali Indrajal Comics. You can check the site here : http://indraindrajal.blogspot.in/
-----------------------------
This is a rather unknown series for most Indian comic fans, ain't? Well, this series was supposed to be introduced in the Indrajal Comics in the '80s,they even added Tomahawk in their advertisements of  "new heroes' gallery", but for some reason omitted this series later. You will find that ad-page published in #375(Satan's Disciples Part I) as attached below:

Acording to wiki "Tomahawk was a comic book character whose adventures were published by DC Comics during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s as a backup feature in Star Spangled Comics and World's Finest Comics and in his own eponymous series. "Tomahawk" was a soldier who served under George Washington in the warfare between the British, French and Iroquois forces during the decades prior to the American Revolutionary War. He was created by writer Joe Samachson and artist Edmund Good, and first appeared in Star-Spangled Comics #69 (June 1947).The Tomahawk series lasted 140 issues, from 1950 to 1972. Most stories during this period were by writer France Herron and artist Fred Ray. The last ten issues ofTomahwak focused on "Hawk, Son of Tomahawk" (Hawk Haukins), and the cover title said "Son of Tomahawk"."

These comics aren't avaiilable in net,or I couldn't dig out, but would be an interesting read for sure.Wonder why ToI choose Nomad/Buz etc over this one??

Anyway, you can visit the cover-gallery of all 140 titles published.
